Peter Vergote elected chairman of CENTR Board
Feb 20, 2012 Earlier this month CENTR's general meeting was held in Salzburg, Austria. CENTR (Council for European Top Level Domain Registries) is the umbrella organisation for national TLD managers such as be, .fr, .eu, etc.
During this meeting, Peter Vergote, Legal & Administrative Manager at DNS.be, was elected new Chairman of the Board of Directors of CENTR. Peter Vergote has been a board member since 2011 and until 2013 he will be chairman of the organisation.
Peter wants to ensure that CENTR continues to optimally fill its role of forum for the interaction and exchange of information and ideas. He also wants the organisation to focus on new challenges such as the impending arrival of new gTLDs and the ever increasing pressure from the government on internet stakeholders.
